CruxPts is a Better Way to Share and Consume Information
At present, most of the information we consume is “flat” — broad and fast but lacking in depth and context. This promotes disposability and reactionary thinking.
CruxPts is a tool, backed by a point of view, designed to help evolve our information systems in service of a healthier culture.
To do this, it advances 4 ideas we believe to be essential at this moment:
Meaningful Constraints
Crucial Context
Consideration Before Comment
A Community Where Everyone is Encouraged to Be Their Best
Using the CruxPts tool, users create, share, and collaborate on “knowledge maps” — intentionally deliberate mechanisms for sharing and receiving information.
The goal of a knowledge map is to lead both a reader and a creator along a thoughtful path about a topic/subject by combining links to outside content with the map creator’s own perspective to create something unique and useful.
CruxPts is neither traditional media nor social media, but rather an evolution of both concepts.
The system is participatory, but not instant. It’s accessible, but not shallow.
It is designed to be:
Contextual
Collaborative
Progressive
Contextual
CruxPts is designed to help people not only learn and share, but to understand.
Collaborative
CruxPts is designed to help people work together in service of building a stronger, and healthier, information and media ecosystem.
Progressive
Our most important goal: to not only provide a better way to present knowledge, but ultimately to grow it together.
Let's talk.
We are currently seeking system testers, potential partners, and like-minded individuals who are committed to improving the health of our information and media ecosystems. Please use the form to reach us.
